Sometimes a party takes you places that you didn't really plan on going...

Hey all--
Up heinously late tonight, so I'll attempt to remain brief and promise you a stunning post for tomorrow.

It is my express recommendation that everyone on planet Earth, at one point or another, visit the CNN Grill. Although the locals claim that, during the off-season, the restaurant that takes its place is "nothing special," that is simply not the case now, in the height of the democratic National Convention. The food is spectacular (more spectacular than any other eatery that's primarily Standing Room Only). The people are friendly. The celebrities are so close you could touch them (if you could get through the security guards, of course). And the atmosphere is contagious-- similar to the effect i'd imagine one would receive if the entirety of Denver was rounded up and concentrated into a teeny tiny little spot.

I was lucky enough to spot Nancy Pelosi when I first walked in, and while I was unable to talk to her personally, I do feel that we forged a bond as I watched her Mac screensaver from over her shoulder. Is that creepy? Yeah, actually, I'm pretty sure it is.

In any case, it was fantastic. I promise I'll give you a better explanation when I can form literate sentences.
